Platonic Solids
A polyhedron is a volumetric solid bounded by polygons. A regular polyhedron is a solid that has identical faces, edges, and vertices; there are five regular polyhedra in the category known as the Platonic solids. There are many categories of polyhedra, each with specific attributes of form. When working with polyhedra it is important to be aware of the full name of the solid, the number of vertices, edges, and faces, as well as the family of form in which the polyhedron is classified.
