Annual Report (2002-2003)
This report has been designed utilizing a grid based on a 4˚ skew of the 13th Century mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci’s Golden Section, a logarithmic proportional increase (1:ϕ). Fibonacci, well known in the field of mathematics, is also important in the history of typography as he was responsible for introducing Arabic numerals to Italian scribes after returning from studying in North Africa.
The typeface Syntax, is a true neohumanist sanserif designed by Swiss type designer Hans Edward Meier (1922 – 2014) and issued in 1969. It has recently been redesigned to include oldstyle figures and small caps.
